A winter of city breaks and mild escapes
Our winter 2024/25 timetable starts at the end of October and runs until late March. As in previous years, it shifts the balance of our network away from peak beach season and towards city breaks, festive trips and destinations that stay mild when northern Europe turns grey.
All flights are on routes we already operate. Where demand is strongest, we are adding extra frequencies so you have a better choice of times.
Festive season favourites
Late November and December are all about Christmas markets, and Vienna, Prague, Munich and Berlin see extra frequencies through Advent. Weekend-friendly timings make it easy to leave on a Friday and be back for Monday.
Around the holidays themselves, we add extra rotations to London Heathrow, Dublin and Amsterdam for those visiting family and friends.
Advent weekends are often the busiest of the whole winter season, particularly in the first two weeks of December. If your dates are flexible, a midweek trip can mean quieter markets, a wider choice of hotels and more availability on the flights you prefer. Evening departures on a Thursday are a good compromise for those who want a long weekend.
Winter sun
If you would rather swap the cold for something brighter, Faro, Lisbon and Palma continue with a solid winter schedule. These places are quieter in winter, often with pleasant daytime temperatures that suit walking, cycling and long lunches outside.
Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Athens remain well served too, ideal for museums and food without the summer crowds.
Ski and snow trips
Munich, Zurich and Vienna are natural gateways to the Alps. If you are bringing skis or a snowboard, add sports equipment in Manage Booking for 45 euros and book your transfer or rental car in advance, as mountain roads and resorts get busy during school holidays.
Winter also brings a higher chance of weather-related disruption at some airports. Add your booking to the AeroVista app so you receive real-time notifications, and allow a little extra time to reach the airport on snowy days.
Good to know
- Book Christmas market weekends early; Friday departures fill up fast.
- Add ski equipment online before you fly rather than at the airport.
- Pack layers for winter sun destinations; evenings can be cool.
