Our fleet averages six years old, and every new aircraft we add burns around 15–20% less fuel than the model it replaces. Lighter cabin interiors and digital manuals on board help as well.
Sustainable aviation fuel
We're increasing our share of sustainable aviation fuel every year in line with EU targets. Passengers can also choose to cover part of their flight with SAF when booking.
Smarter on the ground
Single-engine taxiing, electric ground equipment and optimised flight paths all cut fuel burn. Small changes like these add up across thousands of flights a year.
Good to know
- Travelling light reduces fuel burn too. Every kilogram counts.
- Pick a direct flight where possible; take-off uses the most fuel.
